Zen Straws

Our Zen Straws are made with PHA (Polyhydroxyalkanoate), derived from the fermentation of canola oil.  Unlike plastic which takes hundreds of years to break down, PHA takes only 58 days.

PHA is plant based and will naturally be consumed by bacteria, therefore Zen Straws can biodegrade anywhere, including in the ocean. If these straws do end up in the ocean, they are safe to be digested by marine life because they are plant based.

Zen Straws have the same look and feel as plastic. They are durable and sustainable alternative that will not harm the environment and will not harm marine life.
